Morgan starred as a woman as a woman in the AIDS prevention and educational video Safe Sex for Men and Women. A portion of the proceeds was donated to the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan also led other fundraising projects, and she also testified on a Congressional panel discussing AIDS awareness. She also serves as a Board of Directors for Amfar as well as the Board of Governors of APLA. C. Everett Koop asked her several times to assume his place in AIDS occasions. She also hosted an AIDS Awareness Special together with anchorman Steve Bell. Ted Koppell and Morgan have appeared on Nightline at least twice, to discuss AIDS. Morgan has received an Emmy nomination for her extra episode in Murphy Brown written for her by Diane English. Morgan was a co-star in ABC TV's Your Money or Your Wife in the spring along with Joan Rivers. She then started the summer by starring in Murder At The PTA Luncheon which was produced by Von Zerneck/Sertner. It included Cindy Williams and Marla Gibbs. She then starred in the production of Harmony Gold, Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady that starred Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also starred as the lead in a thriller about psychological issues that was exclusively produced by the USA Network. It received one of the best ratings ever recorded by the network.
